Student dies after fainting on basketball court

A Sanda University student died in hospital yesterday after he suddenly collapsed in a basketball class, the school announced today.
The sophomore surnamed Tang fell down without being struck and was sent to a hospital 20 minutes later. However, he died despite emergency treatment.
Sanda didn't specify the cause of Tang's death.
On November 27, a Shanghai Donghua University student died after he collapsed at the finish line of a 1,000-meter running test. On the same day, a 25-year-old marathon runner in Guangzhou, Ding Xiqiao, died after days of rescue efforts.
Ding was the second Guangzhou Marathon runner to die of cardiogenic shock. The first, a 19-year-old student, died hours after completing the race held on November 18.
