Suicide bid foiled as woman goes 'live'
A LOCAL woman who tried to commit suicide was saved in the nick of time after she "live-broadcast" her wrist-cutting process with texts and pictures via her microblog on sina.com yesterday.
The woman was in stable condition and resting at home after surgery in a hospital.
The hour-long "broadcast" began about 7am yesterday.
The woman reportedly had disputes with her husband. "I would rather die than be divorced," said the woman on her microblog, while posted bloody pictures of her waist.
The microblog piece was retweeted and spread among netizens thousands of times within minutes.
The drama ended as the woman's family members found her at home and called the police about 9am.
By noon a new blog had appeared, thanking "those good-hearted netizens for alerting the police."
