Suicide suspected in student's fall from building
A Fudan University student fell from his fourth-floor dormitory room early this morning and is receiving emergency treatment at a hospital, school officials confirmed.
Fang Ming, deputy director of the university's news center, confirmed to Shanghai Daily that a student fell from a school building without giving more details.
"We will release details to the public as soon as we find out the cause and reach a conclusion," Fang told Shanghai Daily over the phone.
Whether the student is alive remains unknown.
According to a report by Jiefang Daily, the student is male and majors in history. He fell from his dormitory building around 1:30am this morning. It said his roommates found a suicide note he left.
