Taxi app driver detained for being half naked with shorts laid on private part while servicing female rider

A driver in Tianjin city has been detained for 10 days for being half naked yesterday when servicing a female passenger who hailed his car through Didi application, local police said.
The female passenger said she was shocked to find the driver was half naked with a pair of sporty shorts loosely laid on him, which could hardly cover up his private part after she got on his car, which was dispatched about 8am yesterday through Didi application, a platform similar to Uber.
The woman then made an excuse to get off and alarmed police.
The woman alleged she received a text message of threat from that driver about 3pm the same day. She alleged the driver said in the message that "You really have some guts. Are you trying to make some troubles here?"
Police today confirmed the driver had sent threat message to the passenger. Police said they found and summoned the driver, aged 33, around 9pm yesterday and his detention was decided early this morning. He would be detained for 10 days in administrative punishments.
