Teacher accused of molesting 7-year-old

A calligraphy teacher who allegedly touched his seven-year-old student's breasts was arrested and charged with child molestation, prosecutors said yesterday.
The suspect, 56, surnamed Li, was said to have sexually abused the girl on July 22 when he was teaching calligraphy at a night class in a training center in Baoshan District.
Prosecutors said Li pretended to correct the girl's writing postures at the class and intentionally touched her breasts for a prolonged period of time. He also allegedly talked obscenely with the girl in the name of "teaching her right from wrong."
The girl was too frightened to defend herself and kept silent during the episode. The girl's parents reported to the police after their daughter arrived home and cried while telling them about her experience. Li was detained by the police the next day.
