Teen girl found dead in Pudong, young man caught as suspect

A 16-year-old girl surnamed Cheng was found dead in some bushes yesterday morning in Heqing Town, Pudong New Area, xinmin.cn reported today.

Police captured a suspect surnamed Zhang, 20, a native of Henan Province, in an Internet cafe in Heqing yesterday afternoon, the report said.

The girl’s mother called the police at 1am yesterday and told them she hadn’t seen her daughter since Monday, according to the report.

Police said they are still investigating the case.
