Test sitters won't fear the heat

TEST sitters for this year's national university entrance exam next Monday through Wednesday will pass the most crucial exam in their lives without sweltering.

It will be cloudy on the test days with temperatures ranging between 20 and 28 degrees Celsius, Shanghai Meteorological Bureau forecast today.

Today's temperature today is forecast to hit 25.6 degrees, 1.6 degrees higher than yesterday.

Drizzle tomorrow will be followed by a sunny week ahead, with temperatures averaging around 25 degrees.

The bureau forecast Shanghai will enter this year's annual plum rain season around June 20, later than the normal June 15. The rainfall will be between 210 and 250 millimeters, more than the past five years' average of 196.3 mm.

Weathermen forecast one or two days with temperatures over 35 degrees for this month.
