THE Thailand Pavilion will celebrate the Loi Krathong Festival today. Visitors are welcome to experience this traditional festival, which symbolizes the close relationship between Thai people and water.
From 5pm to 6pm, the Thailand Pavilion will prepare Krathong - a kind of traditional small raft - for visitors. Visitors will be invited to float the Krathong in the pond outside the pavilion. Thai people believe that by floating the Krathong on the river or other body of water they honor and pay respect to the Goddess of Water.
