Thailand On A Cultural Mission
THAILAND will provide a comprehensive depiction of its culture at its pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo, the country's government said yesterday as it unveiled exhibition plans with the theme "Thainess: Sustainable Way of Life."
Its pavilion will consist of three Thai-style buildings with three sections - A Journey of Harmony, A Harmony of Different Tones and A Harmony of Thais.
The exhibition area of Thailand will cover 3,117 square meters and the nation's total investment will be more than 600 million baht (US$17.62 million).
"This is the right time for Thailand to show off our great potential and present Thailand's vision of an eco-friendly society," said Issara Somchai, the country's Minister of Social Development and Human Security. "Moreover, this opportunity will add to the good relationship between Thailand and China."
