Toddler critically hurt in 2-story fall

A two-year-old boy was badly injured after he fell off the second floor of a restaurant in Changning District today. The boy was looking at the snow scenery when the tragedy happened.
The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors said he was still in critical condition, and will receive brain surgery after his vital signs are stable.
The incident occurred at the Yunxiangge Restaurant on Zhongshan Road W. in Changning District. The boy and his family were having lunch in the restaurant, and the boy said he wanted to see the snow outside.
Restaurant staff said the mother held the boy to the windowsill, which was about 1 meter high. But the boy suddenly slipped from his mother's arms and fell onto the cement ground, forming a pool of blood.
The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors said he was still in critical condition, and will receive brain surgery after his vital signs are stable.
