Toddler survives two-story fall during argument

A 21-MONTH-OLD girl survived a two-story fall out the window when she accidentally slipped from her father's arms during a quarrel, today's Shanghai Morning Post reported.

Her fall was broken by a passer-by surnamed Dou, who told the newspaper that she managed to grab the girl as she plunged but the toddler slid out from her arms.

The girl, who lives in a lane house in Yangpu District, was immediately rushed to hospital where doctors said she suffered only scratches and a bruised head.

Dou told the newspaper that the father was arguing with his wife over his daughter's care when she slipped.

A police investigation concluded the father had dropped the girl by accident.
