Tongji holds exhibition featuring Dunhuang grotto murals
AN exhibition of Dunhuang grotto murals is ongoing at the Tongji University Museum with exhibits replicated with modern digital technology.
It includes 66 frescoes, six pieces from the Dunhuang Library Cave, six silk paintings, two colored sculptures and a cave.
There is also an area for visitors to "tour" 30 caves in Dunhuang with VR technology.
In Dunhuang, only 10 caves are open to the public every year to protect the murals from being damaged.
The exhibition will conclude on April 5 at Tongji and be held at other universities.
