THE little girl who survived the July 23 bullet train crash in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province is able to walk today.
Doctors at Shanghai Xinhua Hospital removed the stitches on the left leg of Xiang Weiyi. She has entered the phase of rehabilitation, doctors said.
They noted that the anti-infection measures had worked well, but her left leg was severely damaged in the crash and needs more time to heal the nerves and regain functions.
The 34-month-old was the last survivor found in the wreckage of the deadly train collision that claimed 40 lives and injured nearly 200 people.
She was rescued 21 hours after the accident in which her parents both died.
