Travel firm involved in fatal crash ordered to halt operations

SHANGHAI Xiangda Travel Service Co Ltd, whose tour bus had a fatal accident last Sunday, has been ordered to suspend operation, local tourism authorities said yesterday.
Xiangda said all the bus passengers in the accident joined the tour through several travel websites.
The Shanghai Tourism Administration has also ordered those websites to check their operation and improve services.
The administration will conduct a citywide inspection of travel agencies before the May Day holiday.
