Two questioned over cabbie's death

POLICE have found two cab passengers who disappeared after their driver dropped dead on Nanjing West Road during a dispute over the fare yesterday.
Huangpu District police officers said they are investigating the driver's death, but released no further details about the man and woman being held for inquiries.
According to witnesses, the driver had a quarrel with his passengers over the 20-yuan (US$2.92) fare.
As the quarrel escalated, the driver allegedly was hit in the head.
Several minutes later the driver fell to the ground unconscious. The couple fled the scene. Paramedics declared the driver dead at scene when they arrived.
