Van kills bicyclist

A van driver turned himself in hours after hitting and killing a female bike rider yesterday morning in Yangpu District. The accident happened about 5:30am near the crossing of Zhongyuan and Yinxing roads. The woman, 58, was later pronounced dead in a hospital. The driver, surnamed Tang, turned himself in about five hours later, police said, adding that they were looking for witnesses.
