Vanke Pays For Its Pavilion Emissions
CHINESE property developer Vanke yesterday became the first Expo exhibitor to sign a contract with the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange to pay for the carbon dioxide released during construction of the its Expo pavilion and its operation during the event.
The company aims to increase awareness of environmental protection and also echo its pavilion's nature-related theme, said Wang Shi, chairman of Vanke Group.
