Violence over mistress

A woman was sentenced to six months in prison with a one-year reprieve yesterday for abetting her teenage son to beat up an alleged mistress of her husband, the Putuo District People's Court said.
The convict, named Liu Yan, whose age was not revealed, suspected her husband was having an extramarital affair so she told her son, who was still under 16, that she wanted the woman beaten. The victim was punched and kicked by the son and his two colleagues, suffering fractures and bruises to her waist.
