'Warcraft' theme exhibition starts at Joy City with VR experience available

FOLLOWING the first stop in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, the global Legendary Pictures “Warcraft” theme exhibition raised its curtain at the Shanghai Joy City today. The exhibition will run till May 15.
The highly-anticipated epic film “Warcraft," based on the popular video game "World of Warcraft" will be released in North America on June 10. The film featuring stunning visuals and lavish scenes is also expected to be shown in China.
In addition to real-role models, more than 140 film costumes, props, weapons of the fantasy film are put on display.
Many of the items are designed and handmade by artists from Weta Workshop whose credits include "The Hobbit," "The Lord of the Rings" and "Avatar." The exhibits were transported from overseas to China.
Additionally, the exhibition presents a virtual reality experience area, where visitors can wear on 3D VR glasses to have a special experience of riding a griffin as King Llane flying in Azeroth.
The theme exhibition will also display limited version of authorized peripheral products and collectibles of the fantasy for fans to pre-order on site.
