Washers fail tests

INTERNATIONAL brand washing machines from Panasonic and LG as well as three other brands failed quality tests by the city's quality watchdog yesterday. A batch of washing machines produced by Panasonic Hangzhou and sold in the city failed quality checks for their poor performance in washing textiles. Some washing machines made by an LG factory in Hangzhou were found to perform poorly in rinsing.
