Wedding studio shut and empty
POLICE are investigating the sudden closure of a wedding photography studio in Zhabei District.
Around 500 couples are said to have been affected by the closure.
Some of them raised the alarm when they found the studio, Pink Wed, closed last Saturday. All the employees had gone and the shop at 808 Zhongshan Road was empty.
A notice on the door said the studio was suspended due to operational problems and suggested clients contact the district's industrial and commercial authority.
A bride, surnamed Huang, said she paid 3,699 yuan (US$587) for wedding photos she hadn't received. Other couples are said to have been abandoned by photographers halfway during a session.
