Weekend showers to cool city

SHOWERS are forecast this weekend, a welcome relief from this week's searing heat.
Highest temperatures will drop to around 33 degrees Celsius, according to Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
Today's temperatures are forecast to top 35 degrees and the scorching heat and clear weather will continue until Friday.
Yesterday's temperature topped 34.3 degrees in downtown Shanghai.
People are urged to stay indoors and drink more water to prevent heatstroke.
