A woman died in an elevator accident around 10:30am today inside Huaihai Financial Building in Huangpu District, according to Xinmin.cn.
The report was unclear how the accident happened, but work safety watchdog officials told the website the woman had fallen from the ground floor to the B1 level.
The officials told the news website that the elevator malfunctioned and their investigation will continue.
