Woman hurt as lift malfunctions

A woman was injured yesterday when an elevator started up as she was entering it.
The accident happened in an office building at Zhongshan Road N. and Wuning Road in Putuo District. The woman, surnamed Wang, was hurt slightly in the right arm and wrist. Wang said the lift started moving as she had one foot inside. She used her right arm to try to prevent the door from closing. After 20 minutes, Wang freed herself and was sent to a nearby hospital. The lift, made by the Xizi OTIS Elevator Co, was in maintenance after the accident.
