Woman survives suicide leap

A WOMAN has survived a suicide plunge from her 18th-floor apartment on Daduhe Road, Putuo District.

The 30-year-old woman, surnamed Pan, quit her job recently and just had a row with her parents before jumping in the early hours of last Saturday, Oriental Morning Post reported today.

But scaffolding outside the building saved her, the report said, and Pan landed on an eighth-floor balcony with severe injuries.

She managed to climb into the apartment to ask for help and is now recovering at No. 6 People's Hospital.
