Woman who traveled on fake documents to Macau over 200 times sentenced to 3 months in jail
A WOMAN who used fabricated documents to travel between Chinese mainland and Macau over 200 times has been sentenced to three months in jail with a three-month reprieve for illegally crossing the border, prosecutors in Fengxian District said.
The woman surnamed Xiao, from Guangdong Province, paid a Shanghai-based travel agency to apply for entry-exit permits for business travel to Macau in June 2011. The agency fabricated the documents, false claming that she was often sent by a local company to Macau for business reasons. It allowed her unlimited access to Macau in three months.
By March 2012, she had travelled between mainland and Macau 202 times. After that, she couldn’t contact the agency. Her crime was exposed on September 9 when Fengxian police were investigating the agency. And Xiao was called to hand her self over to police.
