A 30-year-old construction worker was killed by a falling steel pipe at a construction site on Fanxing Road yesterday, police said.
A 4-meter-long pipe fell down from a 10-meter-high scaffold, smashing the safety helmet worn by the worker surnamed Chen. The police and the construction watchdog are still investigating.
