X'mas tree falls in Lujiazui park, no one hurt
A Christmas tree toppled as workers tried to erect it in the park of Lujiazui Central Green yesterday afternoon, but no one was hurt in the accident.
The tree wasn't firmly secured with tethers and its plastic leafs absorbed so much rainwater that the extra weight caused the tree to tip and fall in the wind, workers said.
There were no passers-by near the tree and no one got hurt in the mishap.
The workers said it was the first time to set up a Christmas tree in the Central Green to create a festive atmosphere for people working in the Lujiazui business area.
