Xujiahui McDonald's employee stabbed to death, suspect at large

A 24-year-old employee in a McDonald's restaurant in downtown Xujiahui area was stabbed to death early in the morning. The suspect is at large, police said.
The part-time employee, surnamed Li, was stabbed at about 4:40am, "likely" when he was trying to stop a man sleeping in the restaurant, according to Xinmin.cn, a local news Website. The victim was pronounced dead later in Zhongshan Hospital.
Li, from a poor family in suburban Jinshan District of Shanghai, has a full time job and took the part-time McDonald's work to earn more money, Xinmin.cn's reporter quoted Li's mother, who was crying her son's name at the hospital. The McDonald's restaurant on No.1 Tianyaoqiao Road near Zhaojiabang Road is closed today.
Police is still investigating the case.
