Youth innovation competition kicks off

AN innovation and entrepreneurship alliance for university students from six countries in the Lantsang-Mekong River Region was set up Friday as a youth innovation competition on the region's governance and development kicked off in Nanning of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The annual competition was the second of its kind co-sponsored by Shanghai Fudan University, the government of Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, the Shanghai International Culture Association, Guangxi University of Finance and Economics and some other parties.
This year, the event focuses on the challenge of climate change and disaster prevention and reduction. It received a total of 32 programs, up 50 percent from last year, and 16 will compete in the three-day final contest to vie for four awards: the most valuable problem, the most creative team, best international cooperation team and best incubator program.
