Alliance vows top pediatric service in city
NINE hospitals affiliated to Fudan University set up an alliance yesterday to offer regular and high quality pediatric service under the guidance of the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University.
All pediatric departments of the hospitals in the alliance will adopt a unified standard on diagnosis and treatment to offer patients good service near their home, instead of going all the way to crowded big pediatric hospitals, Fudan officials said.
According to Shanghai Health and Family Commission, pediatric health care and treatment is one of the key public health tasks in the city.
Last year, local registered residents’ life expectancy had reached 82.47 years — 80.19 for men and 84.79 for women. The mortality rate among pregnant women with local registered residency and migrants living in the city for over six months was 7.08 for every 100,000 people while infant mortality was 5.73 for every 1,000.
All the three key health data were in line with developed countries.
