THE Shanghai Education Commission yesterday sent a punishment letter to Meng Mu Tang, an unlicensed privately run school that follows traditional Chinese teaching methods. The commission ordered the school to shut down before next Friday.
The commission said the institution may file a lawsuit against the order, but it must close while the lawsuit is being heard. The commission said it will apply for a court-order enforcement if the school remains open.
