Global experts in Shanghai to boost creative industry education

SCHOLARS, entrepreneurs and government officials from over 20 countries and regions of the world shared their expertise and opinions on the creative industry and education today at the Global Education Conference on Creative Industries Shanghai 2011.

The three-day conference will run until Sunday at the Shanghai Theater Academy. Famous experts from the international creative industry, including British economist and father of creative industry John Howkins and Professor Arnold Aronson from Columbia University's School of the Arts, will present master classes and workshops on the creative transformation of education and theater arts.

During the conference, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development also announced the launch of its Creative Economy Academic Exchange Network in cooperation with local colleges and academic institutions for long-term exchange and research.
