Kids on the rise
SHANGHAI is expected to see 540,000 kindergarten children and 805,300 primary school students in 2015, the Shanghai Education Commission said yesterday.
In comparison, the city only had 400,300 kindergarten children and 701,600 primary school students in 2010. The commission has been on a construction spree to meet the increasing demand for schools amid the baby boom and ever-increasing influx of migrant people.
