Kraft Foods China makes a delicious difference in the communities
MORE than 500 Kraft Foods China employee volunteers from across China walked into their communities to help more than 3,000 children in migrant workers' schools, orphanages and Kraft Hope Kitchen schools in an effort to bring a day's difference to these children's life.
The company's employee volunteers share nutrition and health knowledge, as well as food with the children. They also paint school classrooms and donate books and sports equipments to the schools.
"Make a Delicious Difference Week" is a global community initiative of Kraft Foods. Every year on from October 4 to October 9, Kraft Foods employees are encouraged to put down their work for a day to do community service where they live and work.
Lorna Davis, President of Kraft Foods China, said "With 'Make a Delicious Difference Week' volunteer activities, we want to bring delicious food and experience to the children in need in our communities. "
"Everyone who lends a helping hand or being helped will feel good at the same time. We hope that the volunteer efforts of Kraft Foods China employees will help the disadvantaged people in our community, especially the children, feel the love and care for them in this world", said Che Fei, Kraft Foods China's Director of Corporate Affairs.
