Minimum wage up to 1,650 yuan
SHANGHAI is to raise the minimum monthly wage by 170 yuan (US$27), from the current 1,450 yuan to 1,650 yuan, starting on April 1, the city government said yesterday. The minimum hourly wage also rises to 14 yuan from 12.5 yuan.
After the adjustment, minimum wages in the city will still top those of other provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. Last year, the increase was also 170 yuan.
