NEW York University plans to set up a campus in Shanghai within two years.

The new campus in the Pudong New Area's Lujiazui financial and trade zone will be open as early as fall, 2013.
Up to 3,400 undergraduate and graduate students will be admitted for each academic year.

Foreign students will be charged according to NYU's tuition standard while Chinese students will pay less. But details are yet to be announced, university officials said.

Meanwhile, the university will launch scholarship to support the underprivileged Chinese students, according to the Chinese partner, East China Normal University.

Apart from NYU teachers, public recruitment will be launched to admit lecturers from all over the world.
