Options for takers of 'wrong' exam
TENS of thousands of Graduate Record Examination examinees in China have been given several options, including reimbursement, after their score results were canceled because the test organizer "mistakenly used a previous edition" of the test on October 23.
The organizer, the United States-based Educational Testing Service, also said it would compensate the travel costs of the examinees from the October incident.
ETS provided three options, including a retake test, transferring to next year's June test or getting a full refund.
If test takers wish to sit the retake test on November 20, they only need to bring the admission ticket from the October 23 test and a copy of the e-mail message sent to them by ETS informing them of the options.
For those choosing the other options, e-mail gre-info@ets.org or call a special free hotline (400-120-0175), which has been established for any examinees in China.
