OTHER university technological achievements at the upcoming China International Industry Fair 2012 include a face recognition system and coronary stent.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University has developed a facial recognition system which has been applied in the accessing system of a local community, a company and a prison in east China's Jiangsu Province.
Fudan University researchers, meanwhile, have come up with a coronary stent which can help cut medical costs. Many patients now use overseas products costing about 40,000 yuan (US$6,398) on average. The local university's product is priced at only 10,000 yuan.
