Plan calls for ACs in schools

The Shanghai Education Commission said it will encourage primary and middle schools to install air conditioners inside classrooms in reply to a Shanghai People’s Congress member who submitted the proposal earlier this year.
Meanwhile, the commission will carry out a survey to work out a plan for installing air conditioners in schools citywide. The survey will also take public sanity, the operation and maintenance of air conditioners and energy conservation into consideration, according to the reply.
