Quake victim starts studies

A STUDENT who had his right arm amputated after being buried for 80 hours in the May 12 earthquake in Sichuan Province last year has arrived to study at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Xue Xiao became known as the Coke Boy when he greeted his rescuers with the words: "Get me a Coke, iced, please," despite his severe injuries. Two volunteers met Xue at the airport and showed him around his new campus, where he has been placed in a dorm near the bathroom.
