SASS publishes cutting-edge social science book series
The Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences yesterday launched a 19-book compilation of the latest philosophy and social sciences concepts, serving as guidance for future development of social science research both academically and practically.
The book series is composed of 19 books on topics ranging from world economics, laws, international politics, to resources, environment and religious studies, all of which reflect the newest trend in the studies and are expected to be handbooks for scholars, students and industry experts.
Huang Renwei, chief editor of the book series, said he hopes all Chinese social science scholars can utilize the books to understand the current state of the Chinese social science environment.
“We hope to impact the relative fields and communities with our knowledge and discoveries, and to further explore the potentials of social science development...This new book series will be opening a new chapter to our social science education, and become a leading guidance to all students and scholars in the fields,” Huang said.
The SASS plans to use the book series as textbooks to its graduate students, and an academic guidance for China’s higher-education institutions and professional scholars of similar backgrounds.
