MORE than 100 LED flashing yellow lights have been installed by zebra crossings in front of 55 schools and kindergartens in Yangpu District to remind drivers to slow down.
Parents said they welcomed the effort, which was expanded from trials in the Wujiaochang area last year.
A father of two, surnamed Yu, whose children go to Pingliang Road No. 3 Elementary School, where two of the lights were installed, said he drives his children to school. “I still feel that the streets are dangerous for them.”
