SHANGHAI shut 100 unqualified schools for migrant children in a three-year campaign between 2008 and 2010 to include all migrants' children in free nine-year compulsory education.
Currently, more than 470,000 migrant children are receiving free education in the city, with more than 70 percent in state schools.
