Shanghai, Rotterdam schools sign exchange program

AS overseas study experience is considered a merit for job hunters, Shanghai universities are seeking cooperation with more foreign counterparts to give their students a more attractive education background.

Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands to exchange their postgraduates, MBA students in particular.

Ahmed Aboutaleb, mayor of Rotterdam, attended the signing ceremony.

Ni Haiying, director of the MBA Center of Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, said the institute has earmarked 11 million yuan (US$1.8 million) for scholarships and elite students can use the money to cover their overseas study expenses.
