Shanghai to have new university for tech students

Shanghai will establish a new university, Shanghai Science and Technology University, in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Sciences to train the country's top-level scientists and engineers.
The Ministry of Education has approved the creation of this university and announced it on its official website.
Construction of the new school in Pudong's Zhangjiang area will take two years and the school will only have graduate students, insiders said.
The university will explore innovative methods in teaching and research, they added.
