2nd Shanghai Radio Festival to kick off next week
THE second Shanghai Radio Festival, to be held from October 25 to 30, will offer local people a variety of cultural and academic events.
Industry insiders from home and abroad will gather to discuss the transition and new opportunities for the development of radio at a forum. Successful innovative cases will be analyzed, studied and honored at an awards ceremony.
According to Sun Xiangtong, an organizer of the event from Shanghai Media Group, Shanghai Transportation Radio will host a carnival at Jinjiang Amusement Park during the festival to offer interactive experiences of food, fashion, extreme sports and culture.
Love Radio will host a nostalgic love-themed party on the Bund. Pop singers of the 1980s -Zhang Xing and Zhang Qiang will perform to pay tribute to youth and love.
Traditional Opera Radio will present a performance of 18 traditional regional operas of the country to enthusiasts.
The "weekly radio concert," initiated by the Classical Music Radio 947 more than 30 years ago, will host a special Mozart concert on October 30. Audiences can vote for their favorite musical pieces by Mozart. Critics will tell unknown stories behind the music.
The festival will also exhibit original radio shows and charity radio projects of China.
