A lot to expect in Nov for local movie buffs
MANY highly-anticipated movies will be released in November.
Some movie buffs even dub it "the strongest November" as they have chance to watch many foreign and domestic blockbusters.
The latest superhero film from Marvel Studios, "Doctor Strange," will hit cinemas across China with both 3D and IMAX 3D versions on Friday.
Two-time Oscar Winner Ang Lee's new production "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" will start screening on November 11.
Biopic disaster film "Deepwater Horizon," to be released on November 15, is based on the true event of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico six years ago. Directed by Peter Berg, it portrays many unknown and touching stories behind the catastrophe.
British fantasy film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be released on November 25 also with IMAX 3D version. The film is the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling, author of the "Harry Potter" series. It is an adventure to seek fantastic beasts.
Among the highly-awaited domestic films are comedy film "Scandal Maker," which is about a countryside woman who bravely pursues her dream in a big city and Feng Xiaogang's award-winning dark comedy "I Am Not Madame Bovary."
