Back to reality for Cheng

THREE years ago, Hong Kong actress/singer Sammi Cheng's performance in the romantic film "Everlasting Regret" failed at the box office. It was the lowest point of her career. But Cheng said her latest police film, "aLady Cop and Papa Crook", now showing, rebuilt her confidence.
Cheng plays a female police officer in a kidnapping case. She said she had received great support from the film crew including director Felix Chong and actor/singer Eason Chan.
"They gave me a long holiday to adjust myself for this new job," Cheng said. "Owing to their encouraging calls and short messages, I learned how to face reality and move forward."
