Big carnival's start is delayed
THE Shanghai Grand Carnival, originally scheduled to open on July 23 at the World Expo site, will be postponed to July 28 as the shipment of some equipment is delayed.
All equipment should be in place before July 20 to allow time for testing to ensure the safety of all amusement rides. The event will last 100 days, the longest run in the carnival's history, at the largest venue - more than 80,000 square meters. The event includes numerous rides and attractions. Tickets will cost 100 yuan (US$15) for adults and 50 yuan for children.
